Artistic Mosaic Tiles in Co. Roscommon

This exhibition will play host to a display of photographs taken by the artist Laura Earley of mosaic shop fronts that are located around Co.Roscommon. These photographs capture the skill and craftsmanship executed by those involved in the industry.

Farmers' Market: A Taste of Roscommon

10am - 6pm: Lamb Festival Marquee, The Square

Artisan food producers from around Co. Roscommon will display their produce with opportunities to sample and purchase. The Lamb Festival marquee (situated at back of Bank of Ireland) will also host handcraft demonstrations including tinsmith, woodwork, basket-making, wool hand crafts and more. Workshops for children will be available.

Farmers' Market: A Taste of Roscommon

10am - 6pm: Craft Marquee, The Square

Craft tent situated at the front of the Bank of Ireland is reserved for crafters from Co. Roscommon who are in business producing high quality craftwork of different kinds.

Donamon Castle

11am: Donamon Castle

Guided Tour of Donamon Castle, the oldest inhabited castle in Ireland. Limited numbers. Suggested donation €10, including tea/coffee and scones.

6pm: Roscommon Arts Centre

Public opening at 6pm. This exhibition of woven tapestries is a collaboration between Irish and Scottish artists. The exhibition runs as a biennial event with invited artists. Scottish artists: Joan Baxter, John Brennan, Elizabeth Radcliffe, Clare Coyle. Irish artists: Frances Crowe Fibre Artist, Terry Dunne, Angela Forte, Mary Cuthbert. Tapestries will be on display until the 16th of May at the Roscommon Arts Centre.
